WILLIAM EARL PIKE

PRINCETON -- William Earl Pike, 82, of 108 Wildwood Lane passed away on Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Anderson, Pastor David Brooks, and Chaplain Bill Boyd officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Princeton Cemetery.
Mr. Pike was born on Oct. 20, 1928, in Wayne County to the late Charlie Pike and Minnie Johnson Pike.
Mr. Pike was a member of New Hope Church of God. Mr. Pike was retired from O'Berry Center. He served two years as a medic in the United States Army during the Korean War and eight years in the Army Reserve.
He is survived by nieces, Carrie Sanders, Gail Spencer, Carol Russell, Sandra Bauers, Linda Evancic, Ruby Holloman, Ann Norris, Mary Von Hagel; nephews, Daniel Pate, Charles Wade, Kenneth Wade, George Pate, and Johnny Pike; special friends, Chaplain and Mrs. Bill Boyd, who cared and supported Mr. Pike for many years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Pike; sisters, Carrie P. Wade, Ruth P. McIver, Dorothy P. Russell, Rena P. Barwick, Esther P. Pate; brothers, Lonnie Pike, Edgar Pike and Reuban Thomas Pike.
The family will receive friends following the service Monday evening and at other times at the home of Carrie Sanders and Ray Cox, 210 S. Douglas St., Goldsboro NC 27534.
