BILLY WADE MARCELL

PHENIX, Ala. -- Billy Wade Marcell, 59, 38 Kalin Drive, Phenix, Ala., formerly of Goldsboro, N.C., was born Jan. 12, 1951, in Jackson, Tenn., to the late Wade Ford and Frances Marcell Blaylock. Sunday, June 13, 2010, brother Billy entered into his eternal rest with the Lord. The Heavenly Father decided that it was time for pain and suffering to end and peace to begin.
In 1991, Billy met the beautiful Vikki C. Franklin, and became the best of friends. Jan. 26, 1996, they were united in holy matrimony. They were blessed to have each other for 14 years.
Brother Billy was a member of Deeper Life Church Ministries in Goldsboro, N.C., where he served faithfully on the outreach ministry.
Precious memories will forever be etched in the hearts of many such as his wife, Vikki C. Marcell; sons, Darrell W. (Tia) Marcell and Gregory D. Marcell; stepsons, Jesse L. (Andrea) Artis Jr. and Victor R. (Amazing) Artis; stepdaughters, Natasha A. Artis, Crystal W. Artis and Victoria L. Artis; one whom he loved as a daughter, Shelia Eason; 16 grandchildren; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and friends.
A visitation for Mr. Marcell will be held Friday, June 18, 2010, from 2 to 6 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Marcell will take place Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 4 p.m. at Deeper Life Church Ministries of Goldsboro. The chief celebrant, apostle Norbert E. Simmons, will provide words of comfort.
Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Marcell and his cherished family will be escorted to Wayne Memorial Park North for interment rites.
The Marcell family is receiving services of compassion and class from E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc.
