Died July 11, 2009
GREENSBORO -- Ora Phyllise McIntyre Wright, 70, 118 Hammond Drive, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday at her residence.
A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the New Stoney Hill Holy Church in Goldsboro, with the pastor elder Howard E. McNair officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was the ninth child born to Hubert and Mable Parks McIntyre. She was raised in Goldsboro and attended the Wayne County Public Schools. Along with her parents and siblings, she shared in the establishing of New Stoney Hill Holy Church.

After a successful career in real estate and insurance, she relocated to Greensboro to be with her children. She united with the church family of Evangel Fellowship and attended services regularly. It was there where she rededicated her life to Christ and rekindled her faith in God.
She leaves a legacy of love to her children, Rolanda Wright and Roland (Kia) Wright III of Greensboro; her pride and joy, granddaughter, Kailyn; her beloved sister, Alma McIntyre Newby of Atlanta, Ga.; several in-laws; a host of nephews and nieces, including apostle D. L. McIntyre, owner of McIntyre Funeral Home and Ministries; and other relatives and friends, who will all cherish memories of her life.
Auntie, as she was affectionately called, will always hold a special place in the hearts of her family.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the home of her nephew, Donald (Wilhemina) McIntyre, 801 Luther Drive, Goldsboro, where they will also assemble for the funeral procession.
