Rosalie Harris Reddick, 85, 804 N. Madison Ave., was called home to be with the Lord Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. from Pentecostal Holy Church, 600 E. Pine St., Goldsboro, with Elder Willie E. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, 433 Martin Luther King Pkwy., Goldsboro.
Rosalie was born in Wayne County Dec. 8, 1923. She was the daughter of the late James and Hattie Kornegay Harris.
Also, Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin "Buddy" Reddick; two brothers, Clarence Harris and Jack Harris; and one sister, Doris Fuller.
She was educated in the Wayne County School System. Mrs. Reddick received her nurse's aide degree from the Superior Career Institute in New York July 29, 1977.
After retiring and returning to Goldsboro, Mrs. Reddick worked at WAGES in the foster grandparent program.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two grandsons, Kenneth Harris and wife, Evonne, of Charlotte, and Timothy Harris and wife, Ziola, of Kokomo, Ind.; her beloved nephew, Jerry Harris; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Wednesday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, from 1 to 6 p.m. Also, a wake will be held Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, with the family present to receive other family members and friends.
At other times, the family will receive friends at 804 N. Madison Ave., Goldsboro.
