Jerry Lee Holmes, 64, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Goldsboro. A viewing will be held Monday from 2 until 4 p.m. and on Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
Mr. Holmes was born in Wayne County to the late Robert Allen and Lois Swinson Holmes. He was a member of Praise Prayer Worship and Revival Center Inc. and retired from the City of Goldsboro.
He leaves to cherish his memories eight children.
The family will be meeting other times at the home of his sister, Edna Brock, 1706 E. Holly St. in Goldsboro.
