William Daniel McKnight, 56, 460 Wrinn Circle, Newport News, Va., formerly of Mount Olive, passed away Sunday in Mary Immaculate Hospital, Newport News, Va.
His life will be celebrated Sunday at 2:30 a.m. at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Mount Olive. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Park with military honors.
A wealth of precious memories remain in the hearts of his siblings, Carol (Howard) Hall, Hyattsville, Md., Sadie Raine, Emma Kaye Williams, Iwendolyn Arnold, all of Mount Olive, McKeever McKnight of Capitol Heights, Md., Dwilda Williams of Tulsa, Okla., Ivory McKnight of Clinton, Md., and Nora Carlton of Atlanta, Ga.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends at other times at 215 Maple St. where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
