FUQUAY-VARINA -- Danny M. Wilson, 62, 1128 Pine Branch Drive, died Wednesday at his home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Kennebec Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Arthur Thelma and Ethel Hughes Wilson.
After graduating from high school, he married his high school sweetheart. They shared a love of more than 40 years. He loved his children and was a proud grandpa. He was a jovial man with a gentle soul and will be missed for a lifetime. He leaves his loved ones with a legacy of strong faith in our heavenly father.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Moore Wilson; daughters, Angie Sanders and husband, Eddie, of Fuquay-Varina, Dana Strickland and husband, David, of Winston-Salem, Lori Darden and husband, Jeremy, of Mount Olive, and Allsa Bulloch and husband, Brian, of Willow Spring; son, Danny M. Wilson Jr. and wife, Julie, of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Abby and Lindsay Strickland, Lorin and Grayson Darden, Landon Bulloch and Payton Wilson; sisters, Thelma Bullock of Raleigh, Peggy Jones of Fuquay-Varina, Frances Giles and husband, Sherrill, of Angier, and Diania Harmon and husband, Donnie, of Fuquay-Varina; brother, Curties Wilson of Fuquay-Varina; brothers-in-law Donnie Moore and wife, Lou Ann, of Fuquay-Varina, and Steve Moore and wife, Cindy, of Pittsboro; mother-in-law Louise Moore of Fuquay-Varina; and 18 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Young.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to 3 p.m., prior to the funeral service at the church.
