Louise Ginn Parks, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Grady officiating. Interment will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Stansberry Ginn and Annie Newsome Ginn and the widow of Willie Hersell Parks Sr. Mrs. Parks retired from Wayne County Schools and was a member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and a charter member of the church ladies auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Worrell and husband, Kenneth, and Sandra Daw and husband, Delanor, of Goldsboro; sons, Jesse William "Bill" Parks and wife, Sandra, of Goldsboro and Willie Hersell Parks Jr. and wife, Denise, of LaGrange; grandchildren, Pamela Creech, Stephen Parks, Scarlet Campbell, Wendy Flowers, Paul Daw, Jeffrey Parks and Holly Parks; great-grandchildren, Jake Flowers, Zackary Daw, Avery and Haley Creech, and Mary Ryan Campbell; stepgreat-grandchildren, Rex and Summer Rose; and her loyal roommate, Nina Wadsworth.
Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her sisters, Myrtie Cooke, Eva Smith, and Laura Ellen Head, and her brothers, Lee Ginn and William Ginn.
Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 4009 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family will receive friends following the service and at other times will be at the residence of Sandra and Delanor Daw, 653 Hare Road, Goldsboro.
