Reginald Kornegay, 1110 Atlantic Ave., died suddenly Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Elm Grove Church of Christ, Highway 117 North, with Pastor Kenneth Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Kornegay worked at Cherry Hospital for 17 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Connie McDuffie Kornegay; daughter and son-in-law, Tonjur and Patrick Williams of Goldsboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dejuan and Shakika McDuffie of Columbia, S.C., and Monrale Kornegay of High Point; mother and stepfather, Mary K. and Charles Wester of Princeton; father and stepmother, Rudolph and Virginia Grantham of Smithfield; eight grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Rudolph Grantham Jr. of Raleigh, Lawrence and Patricia Wester and Richard and Evelyn Wester of University Park, Ill.; five sisters, Daphene Grantham of Texas, Sharon Johnson and Sonya Johnson of Raleigh, Robin Wester of Blue Island, Ill., Roxann Wester of North Chicago, Ill.; and a host of cousins including a devoted cousin, Belinda Kornegay of Fremont; and other relatives and friends.
A wake will take place at Hamilton Funeral Chapel Friday from 6 to 7 p.m.
