SELMA -- Henry Elbert Meldin, 88, 110 Hinnant Road, died Tuesday at his home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home Chapel in Selma with the Rev. Harold Medlin officiating. The family received friends following the service. Burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Crocker Cemetery.
Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late William Henry and Annie Aycock Medlin.
Mr. Medlin is survived by his son, Larry Elbert Medlin and wife, Tammie, of Clayton; a daughter, Bonnie M. Price and husband, Linwood, of Rocky Mount; a brother, Tony Medlin of Selma; two sisters, Adell Sauls of Goldsboro and Ethel Worley of Princeton; four grandchildren, Bert Medlin of Columbia, S.C., Scott Medlin of Rocky Point, Katie Pinion of Clayton, and Chase Langdon of Waynesville; and three great-grandchildren, Kayla Medlin, Price Medlin, and Aiden Langdon.
