LESLIE E. MILLER JR.

DENVER -- Mr. Leslie Earl Miller Jr., 63, a resident of 4882 Stratford Lane, passed away peacefully on Wednes-day at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Washington and will be officiated by the Rev. Bob Paciocco. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Les was born in Beaufort County on October 27, 1944. He was the son of the late Leslie E. Miller Sr. and the late Lula Respass Miller. He was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School. Les served in the United States Air Force. After service, he moved to Charlotte and spent 30 years there with his wife and children. Les was active in local politics while in Charlotte, Union County and Goldsboro. He worked for 27 years at PCA International in Matthews, N.C., and leaves behind many friends. After leaving PCA, Les owned Nelson Photos in Goldsboro.
Les is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janice F. Miller, two sons, Leslie E. Miller, III and Brandon James Miller; two grandchildren, Chris-topher and Michelle; and
four sisters, Laura Adams, Margaret Louise Cowell, Hazel Winslow and Joyce Gardner.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Paul Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, Louise Cowell, 310 Riverside Drive, Washington.
