GREENSBORO -- Belinda Joy Hicks, formerly of Duplin County, N.C., of 1100 McCormick St., Greensboro, N.C., died on Monday at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Hicks Sr.; her father, Lurie Carlton Sr.; and relative, Lurie Carlton Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at 1:15 p.m. from the Eveready Full Gospel Tabernacle, 350 N.C. 50 & 117 Highway, Warsaw, N.C., with the Rev. Curtis G. Lee officiating. A viewing will be held, Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at Eveready Full Gospel Tabernacle from 1 to 1:15 p.m. Burial will follow in Carlton Cemetery, Bowden, N.C.
She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Charles Hicks Jr. and Keith Hicks, both of Greensboro, N.C., Shacawn Hicks of Goldsboro, N.C., Eric Hicks of Atlanta, Ga.; her mother, Letha Mae Philyaw of Warsaw, N.C.; two sisters, Edna Hicks and Adell Carlton; four brothers, Billy Ray Carlton, Ricky Carlton, Terry Carlton and Rudy Carlton; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will assemble at the residence of Edna Hicks, 886 N. Front St., Warsaw, N.C. at noon on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in preparation for the funeral possession.
