Died Sept. 29, 2007

CLINTON -- Mitchell Keith Lindsay, 59, of 331 Stormy Lane, died at his home Saturday.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, with the Rev. Michael Shook officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery, Delway.

Born in 1947 in Sampson County, Mr. Lindsay was the son of the late Egbert Newton and Mary Marshburn Lindsay. He was affiliated with Evergreen Baptist Church, a graduate of Campbell University and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany. He was employed by NuWay Speaker Products, Inc. as an industrial mechanic. He was the widower of Judy Wilson Lindsay.

He is survived by a son, Jason Keith Lindsay of Raleigh; four sisters, Geneva Lindsay Adams of Thomaston, Ga., Doris Lindsay Wade of Morehead City, N.C., Judy Lindsay Lewis of Princeton, N.C. and Joan Readling of Hickory, N.C.; four brothers, Elmon Lindsay, Franklin Lindsay, Jesse Lindsay, all of Clinton, and Glenn Lindsay of Raleigh.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Lindsay Barwick and Edna Lindsay Jones.

The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister at 504 Blaney St., Clinton, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the College Scholarship Fund for Jason Lindsay, payable to Judy Lewis, 131 Princeton Road, Princeton, N.C. 27569.
