JOHN C. CLARK

SNOW HILL -- John Carroll "J.C." Clark, 74, passed away Tuesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. A native of Greene County, he was born the son of John Dallas and Maggie Toler Clark. After graduation from Hookerton High School, Mr. Clark served in the U.S. Army. He had retired from Standard Commercial Tobacco Company in Wilson where he was a tobacconist.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with the Rev. Ronnie Heath and the Rev. Larry Turlington officiating. Burial will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Carol Howell Clark of the home; a son, Todd Clark and wife, Karen, of Snow Hill; a granddaughter, Kennedy Ruth Clark; sisters, Margaret C. Radford of Snow Hill, Addie C. Beaman of Dover, Del., and Lillian C. Ricketts of More-head City; and a brother, William Ray Clark of Snow Hill.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
