ROCKY MOUNT -- A homegoing service for Mother Mozelle Stevens, 86, formerly of 703 Mulberry St., who passed Monday at Life Care Hospital , will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Moses Chapel Disciples of Christ Church of Faison with Pastor Tommy Jones officiating. Interment will be held in Cobb Cemetery of Faison.

Mrs. Stevens worked as a homemaker for the Department of Social Services in New York City for 26 years. She was also a dedicated member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #6 for many years.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory four daughters, Geraldine "Peggy" Brunson of Goldsboro, Gloristein Shepherd and Gracie Sherline Stevens of Williamston and Angeline Baker of Queens, N.Y.; six sons, McClure Stevens Jr. and Edward Devon Stevens of Missouri and James Earl Stevens, Ronnie Glen Stevens, Tommie Cardoza Stevens and Maurice Stevens of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 41 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

There will be a viewing Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home chapel of Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Peggy Brunson, 621 Poplar St.
