The Rev. Daniel Washington Sr., 83, of 618 Poplar St., died Wednesday at his residence.
A grave side service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Washington Memorial Cemetery in Dudley. The Rev. J.O. Williams will officiate.
Surviving are four children, Zenobia Cureton, of Charlotte, Daniel Washington Jr., of Germany; Vickie Spriggs and Thomas Washington of Goldsboro, two sisters, Blonnie Smith of Washington, D.C., and Nettie Saunders of Concord and eight grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 7 until 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, Goldsboro.
