Thurman Newsome Jr., 41, died Tuesday at his residence.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eureka. The Rev. Odell Forte will officiate. Burial will be in the Sherrod Cemetery.
Mr. New-some is survived by his mother; Lettie P. Milliard of Eureka; his father, Thurman Newsome Sr., of Suffolk, Va..; one son Woodrow Barber of Oxon Hill, Md.; and two sisters, Sandra Newsome and Salanda Newsome of Eureka.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 8 p.m. on Friday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence at 3104 NC Hwy. 222 East, Stantonsburg.
