WILSON -- Zilphia W. Montague, 79, of Nahunta, Ga., died Wednesday at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayman L. Montague of Nahunta, Ga.; father, John Ashley "Jack" Willoughby of Newport News, Va.; mother, Clyde Alice Parrish Willoughby of Kenly; brothers, John Willoughby of Newport News, Va., Wilbert H. Willoughby of Wheaton, Md., Elwood Lee Willoughby of Rockville, Md., Roland Willoughby of Princeton, George Avery Willoughby of Princeton, and daughter, Beverly Jean Montague Brown of Boca Raton, Fla.
She is survived by daughter, Reba Montague of Nahunta, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law, L. Dallas and Diane Montague of Wilson and Michael G. and Pamela Montague of Baton Rouge, La.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Guy Willoughby of Selma and Melvin G. Willoughby of Princeton; sisters, Ollie Willoughby of Princeton, Irene Overman of Princeton, Inez Cooper of Raleigh, Adele Snead of Fort Meade, Fla., Faye Strickland of Princeton, Brenda Holland of Princeton and Linda Bailey of Princeton.
Mrs. Montague was employed as an elementary school teacher in Brantley County, Ga. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education and served as local unit president of Georgia Association of Educators.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton.
Interment will be held today at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of Dallas Montague, 5042 Old Stantonsburg Road, between Wilson and Stantonsburg.
