LOUISE B. SMITH

Mrs. Louise Boyette Smith (Doodle), 89, of 265 Hood Swamp Road, died Tuesday evening, March 28, 2006, at Sutton's Retirement Home.
A native of Goldsboro, Louise was born on May 6, 1916. Louise was the daughter of the late Daniel and Effie Etheridge Boyette She was the widow of Walter William Smith. Louise was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and all her family loved her very much. She was a member of Hood Swamp Friends Meeting.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at Hood Swamp Friends Meeting with Gladys Barrow Wells, Waldo Smith and McGee Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery on Hood Swamp Road.
Louise is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Walter Sr. and Annette Worrell Smith of Goldsboro; her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine Smith and Jimmy Ray Best of Garner; her grandchildren, Delia Louise (Dee Dee) Smith Bone and husband Jeff of Rocky Mount; Dorothy Annette Smith Chapin and husband Jeff of Goldsboro; Wendy Elaine Smith Hunter and husband Jeremy of Goldsboro; Timothy Ray Best and wife Dana of Goldsboro, and James Walter (Jim) Smith II and wife Jennifer; and her great-grandchildren, Ashley Danielle Turner of Rocky Mount; Payton Dianne Best, Alston David Best, Ethan Hunter Chapin, Keelin Alana Hunter, Tucker Lane Chapin, James Walter (Trey) Smith III and Frederick Tyler (Ty) Smith, all of Goldsboro; many nieces and nephews; and a special lifelong friend, Mildred Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter William Smith; four sisters, Lillian B. Cottle, Mildred B. Watson, Peggy B. Mitchell and Doral Marie B. Pittman, and five brothers, Ralph Boyette, Fred Boyette, James Edward Boyette, Horace Boyette, and Lloyd (Monk) Boyette.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Timothy Ray Best and James Walter (Jim) Smith II; and nephews, Danny Boyette, Mike Boyette, Jack Boyette and Dan Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Alston David Best, Ethan Hunter Chapin, Tucker Lane Chapin, James Walter (Trey) Smith III and Frederick Tyler (Ty) Smith.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Hood Swamp Friends Meeting, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534; Home, Health and Hospice, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534; or to Sutton's Retirement Home, 4258 U.S. 13 Hwy. North, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of James Walter and Annette Smith, 251 Hood Swamp Road, Goldsboro.
