GRANT BOURNE

Grant "Barney" Delaney Bourne, 61, of Sleepy Creek Road, died Saturday at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro, with Robert Trumpler officiating.

Mr. Bourne was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Westcar Bourne and Isaline Jones Bourne. He was a member of the Mount Olive Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Humphrey Bourne; three daughters, Stephanie Bourne Barnes, and her husband, Ronny, of Goldsboro, Melita Bourne of Dudley, and Kimberly Bourne of New York; one grandson, Jalen Barnes; three sisters, Lucille Lockett, Patricia Bourne McGowan and Sheila Bourne; two brothers, Lionel Bourne and his wife, Ladene, and William Bourne and his wife, Provita; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bourne was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Bourne, and one sister, Coraline Rines.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Saturday.
