Maria Tacliad Jones, of 102 Dwight St., died Saturday at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. Pastor Ralph Painter will officiate.
Mrs. Jones was born in the Philippines to the late Francisco Tacliad Sr. and Carman Tacliad. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Goldsboro and was formerly employed with China King in Goldsboro and Cooper-Standard.
She is survived by her husband, William Kevin Jones; two sons, Curtis L. Messick of Goldsboro and Pvt. Michael A. Messick and his wife, Angela, stationed in Iraq; one daughter, Analyn Simmons and her husband, Tremayne, of Mount Olive; one brother, Francisco Tacliad Jr. of California; three sisters, Corason Baluyot, Virginia Ibarra and Elizabeth Domingo of the Philippines; and three grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Lucille L. Jones of Columbus, Ohio, and three sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by four brothers.
The family will receive in the fellowship hall of First Assembly of God following the memorial service.
