The funeral for Charles Ray "Potliquor" Williams, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church. The Rev. Joseph Williams Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was a former resident of Calypso and was the son of Oscar "Buddy" Williams of Mount Olive and the late Mary Ervin Williams.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are three daughters, Charletta Williams of Goldsboro and TaKisha Williams and Shameka Williams of Washington, D.C.; nine sisters, Emma Gerald Heath, Betty J. Williams, Cindy D. Williams and Phyllis D. Williams of Goldsboro, Susie Hunter of Garner, Viletta A. Knight of Fairbanks, Alaska, Patricia A. Rogers of Randallstown, Md., and Jennette P. Smith and Deloris Price of Jersey City, N.Y.; and three brothers, Glenn E. Williams of Goldsboro, Bobby L. Williams of Apex and Samuel Price of Bolivia.
The viewing will be from 1 until 6 p.m. on Friday at McIntyre Funeral Home and the family will be present from 5 until 6 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends at 3903 Central Heights Road.
