MAE EDWARDS
PRINCETON - Mae Thorne Edgerton Edwards, 81, died Monday afternoon at her home.
She was born November 21, 1923, in Johnston County to the late Albert Lee and Eunice Sullivan Edgerton and was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Edwards. She was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
Surviving are her husband, William Leo Edwards; son, William Leo Edwards, Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Four Oaks; daughters, Mary Lou Willoughby and her husband, Melvin, and Judy Dorsey, all of Princeton, sister, Pat Edwards of Princeton and six grandchildren, Melvin Willoughby Jr., Denise D. Worley and husband, Wayne, Amy Willoughby, Beth Edwards and fiancé Jon Fulcher, Michael Dorsey Jr. and Todd Willoughby.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Dann Patrick, the Rev. Duane Rush and the Rev. Russell Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in the cemetery at Grace Baptist Church in Princeton.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
