JANICE L. MARSHALL
Janice Lowrimore Marshall, 77, of Culpeper, Va., died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at Culpeper Regional Hospital.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Marshall was born May 29, 1928, in Smithfield, N.C., to the late William P. Lowrimore and Myrtle Rivenbark Lowrimore. An avid NASCAR fan and sports enthusiast, her favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr., and she loved camping, bowling and playing pinochle.
Her survivors include four children, Terry Cheatle and her husband, Walter, of Culpeper, Va., Kelly Fox of Culpeper, Va., and her husband, Arthur, of Burke, Va., David Francis and his wife, Debbie, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Steven Shearer and his wife, Carol, of Nashville, Tenn.; three stepchildren, Douglas Marshall Jr. of Melbourne, Fla., Patrick Marshall of Leesburg, Va., and Brenda Gummere of North Canton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Rachel Seely, Jim Cheatle, Walter Cheatle Jr., Nicole Cheatle, Michelle Fox, Chelsea Fox, Kimberly Fox, David Francis, Michelle Fanning, Tina McClain and Jim McClain; and five great-grandchildren, Mia Cheatle, Grant Cheatle, Megan Grange, Marrisa Grange and Katie Lierley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Marshall, and one brother, William Paul Lowrimore Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, 1232 22nd St. N.W., Washington, D.C., 20037.
Local funeral arrangements are being handled by Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
