VIOLA D. MARTIN
Viola Draughon Martin, 90, of 336 Alabama Ave., died Monday at Britthaven of Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Saint James A. M. E. Zion Church, 206 South George St. The Rev. Daran Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin was born in Sampson County on Nov. 14, 1913, to the late George and Vessie Williams Draughon. She was a member of Saint James A. M. E. Zion Church where she served as an usher.
She is survived by one son, George Curtis Glover of Fayetteville; two daughters, Linda Martin Johnson of Goldsboro and Jean Sheridan of Fayetteville; one sister, Roseann Lamb of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The viewing will be held today from 4 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m. They will receive friends other times at the home of her daughter, Linda and Ronald Johnson, 211 Brantwood Drive, Goldsboro.
