DAISY S. SIMMONS

Homegoing services for First Lady Daisy Lee Snead Simmons will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Deeper Life Church Ministries, 900 Eleventh Street in Goldsboro. Entombment will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.

First Lady Daisy was born in Goldsboro, N.C. on May 4, 1952, to the late David Snead Sr. and the late Christine Byrd Snead.

On Sunday, July 11, 2004, First Lady Daisy received an Angelic Escort to Eternal Paradise. First Lady Daisy exemplified Proverbs 31 to its fullest and leaves to honor and forever hold dear her memory, her loving, nurturing, and devoted husband of thirty-five wonderful years, Apostle Norbert E. Simmons, a loving son, Guy Montez Simmons of Goldsboro, and two precious grandchildren, Xavier and Alyssa Simmons of Tampa, Fla. She also leaves a sister, Lena Ruth Cooper of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Matthew (Yvette) Williams of Goldsboro, N.C.; a sister, Onie (Lorenzo) Whitley of Selma, N.C.; a brother, David (Michelle) Snead of Four Oaks, N.C.; a brother, Levi (Sonya) Snead of Smithfield, N.C.; a sister, Mary (Tony) Ellis of Lillington, N.C.; and an entourage of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

Along with these relatives who will cherish her memory, First Lady Daisy, as she is adoringly called, leaves a legacy of smiles, laughter, joy, strength, kind words, wisdom, and love with The Deeper Life Church Ministries family and numerous special friends.

First Lady Daisy, we will miss you this is true; and everyday we shall think of you. Our love for you is true and you will forever live on in our hearts.

The viewing will be held at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 until 10:30.
