CHARLIE JORDAN
LAGRANGE -- Charlie Belton Jordan, 68, of 304 Firetower Road, died Wednesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Mitchell and the Rev. Reynolds Smith will officiate. Interment will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Jordan was born in Sampson County on August 4, 1935, to the late Allen and Sallie Coker Jordan. He was a member of Garris Chapel United Methodist Church and a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by one son, Kelly Rex Jordan of LaGrange; one daughter, Lisa Kuipers and husband, James, of Seven Springs; one sister, Barbara Jordan Turner and husband, Harry, of Goldsboro; one grandchild, Conner Jordan; a special aunt, Nina; and a dear friend, Callie Lane.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Lela Jordan, and a brother, Karl Coker Jordan.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight, and other times at the home of Barbara Turner, 100 Bayleaf Drive.
