Mount Olive Chamber/Jaycees Banquet scheduled for Feb. 15

MOUNT OLIVE -- The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce and the Mount Olive Jaycees will hold their 12th annual membership and awards banquet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15.
It will be held in the J.D. Evans Community Room at Steele Memorial Library.
Tickets are $25 in advance (from the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce) or $30 at the door.
The ticket includes a sit-down dinner and the awards program.
Highlights of the evening include the presentation of seven awards as presented by the Jaycees including: Distinguished Service Award, Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Public Servant, Outstanding Farmer, Outstanding Senior Citizen, Outstanding Teenager and Boss of the Year.
Nomination forms for these awards are available at the Mount Olive Chamber office, 114 N. Center Street (Kommunikate Plus building).
The deadline to submit nominations is Feb. 8.
In addition to the Jaycee awards, the Chamber will present the Ruff Huggins Lifetime Community Service Award, Moses E. King Contributions to the Community Award, Lillian B. Langley Award and the Spirit of the Chamber Award.
Chamber officials also will share an overview of the Chamber's accomplishments for 2017.
