A fire in a Dudley trailer left a woman without her home Friday evening, said the homeowner.
When firefighters arrived to 204 Beaver Drive just before 4 p.m., they found a mobile home with flames inside the building.
By around 4:15 p.m. firefighters from the Dudley, El Roy and Mount Olive fire departments were still on the scene and the fire was extinguish.
Homeowner Luz Fonseca said she was alone in the mobile home cooking when the fire began.
She said she was making food to sell, and her attention slipped for a moment after putting some chicken patties down to cook. The next thing she knew, there were flames.
"The firefighters told me the house is a total loss," she said. "I don't have any money, so I was trying to cook some food to make a bit of money. So I made $11 and lost my house."
Fonseca was not injured in the fire, she said. She said she has friends who she can stay with while she rebuilds.
