Nobody was injured when two homes were hit by gunfire in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday.
One home was struck just before noon Tuesday and another was shot early Wednesday morning.
The first incident happened at a home in the 100 block of Dupont Circle.
Goldsboro police officers responded to a shots fired call and people living at the residence a told them the home had been hit by several bullets, according to a police report.
The victims told police they did not see where the gunfire came from or who fired the shots.
Sgt. Bryant Canady, with the Goldsboro Police Department's Investigative Services Bureau, said six people were inside the residence at the time, and ballistic evidence was recovered from the scene.
Police then responded to a house in the 400 block of Quail Drive at about 4:24 a.m. Wednesday, where the person living there told them she heard several shots being fired near her home.
Canady said four people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, and ballistic evidence was recovered from that scene, also.
A police report said the woman found several bullet holes in her residence, but she was uninjured.
Canady said there is nothing pointing to the two incidents being related.
