Pending snowfall forecast to reach up to between 3 and 6 inches over parts of Wayne County and surrounding areas Wednesday night into Thursday morning has prompted the county school system to close to both staff and students Thursday.
Schools let out three hours early today ahead of the looming winter storm. Classes were expected to resume Thursday on a delayed schedule, but officials thought better of it as the storm moved in around 5 p.m.
