Police arrested a man Tuesday night for shooting a gun at someone inside a house on Spearwood Drive.
Officers also found heroin in the man's possession while arresting him, said Maj. Anthony Carmon, head of the Goldsboro Police Department's Investigative Services Bureau.
Chaze Braswell, 25, of 115 Mansion Lane, is charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits and felony trafficking heroin
"Heroin was found during the course of the arrest," Carmon said.
According to an incident report, Braswell allegedly fired a single shot at 22-year-old Deshaun Jamarion James, of Eureka, while they were both inside 105 Spearwood Drive around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The bullet did not strike James and instead lodged itself in a living room wall inside the home, Carmon confirmed.
James refused to cooperate with police after the incident, the report said.
According to Braswell's arrest report, officers found 6.4 grams of heroin in his possession.
He was put in the Wayne County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond.
Braswell's first appearance in Wayne County court is today.
