A Dudley man allegedly assaulted several officers after being arrested for impaired driving following a vehicle wreck in the 700 block of South Audubon Avenue around 7 p.m. Sunday night.
Seth Alston Williams, 25, of 411 Nancy Drive, Dudley, was reportedly involved in a wreck on Audubon Avenue and officers alleged that he was "on an impairing substance," a police report on the incident says.
According to the report, Williams became irate after the handcuffs were put on him and began struggling with an officer.
After being placed in the back of a patrol car, Williams allegedly kicked an officer in the arm and then spit on the face and torso of another officer.
After this, the report says Williams threatened to get his gun and "shoot and kill" every officer involved in arresting him.
According to the report, Williams then looked at one officer and threatened to beat the officer with a metal pole "the first chance he could."
Williams was taken to the magistrates office following the incident and charged with malicious conduct by a prisoner, assault on a government official and three counts of communicating threats.
Maj. Anthony Carmon with the Goldsboro Police Department confirmed that Williams was charged with malicious conduct by a prisoner because he allegedly assaulted the officers involved in his arrest after being arrested for impaired driving.
Williams was given a $38,000 secured bond and put in the Wayne County Jail.
Williams' first appearance in Wayne County Court is today.
