Drug charges are filed

A drug investigation conducted by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Squad resulted in the arrest of a Goldsboro man Tuesday.
Clarence Jerome Smith, 31, 1711 N. William St. is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $105,000 secured bond, according to a press release.
During a traffic stop conducted in the course of their investigation, drug squad officers located 12 grams of cocaine and digital scales in Smith's car, the press release said. Smith was taken into custody and also found to have outstanding warrants from Johnston County.
