A Fremont man is free on an unsecured bond after Wayne County sheriff's deputies arrested him in connection with a Goldsboro motor vehicle theft that dates back to July 2015.
Jody Lee Ginn, 35, 491 Pate Farm Road, is charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and obtaining property by false pretense, according to a press release.
Ginn was released Tuesday on a $20,000 unsecured bond and had a first appearance in Wayne County District Court Wednesday to determine counsel.
The Goldsboro Police Department investigated a report of a 1999 Ford Escort from the parking lot of Rose's Florist at 1211-C Wayne Memorial Drive on July 27. Throughout the course of the investigation -- and with the assistance of the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles License and Theft Bureau -- police developed Ginn as a suspect. A warrant for Ginn's arrest was issued Aug. 7, according to the release.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Ginn in the area of 436 Union Grove Church Road Tuesday.
