Three charged in armed robbery

Three people are in custody today following an armed robbery in the parking lot of Wanda's, a bar located on North William Street near Patetown Road, according to a Goldsboro Police Department press release.
Marcus Dashon Allen, 22, 174 Short St., is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and is being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
Desire Nicole Faucette, 32 of Seven Springs, is charged with accessory after the fact, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and driving while license revoked. A third suspect, Johnnie Lee Medlin III, 26, also faces charges of accessory after the fact and possession of drug paraphernalia. Faucette and Medlin's secured bonds were set at $10,000 and $25,000, respectively.
According to a police report, Leonard Gene Hawkins, 29, of Pikeville, told police he was robbed at gun point by a black man in the parking lot of Wanda's, 2202 N. William St., at about 9:30 p.m., Wednesday. The suspect took $150 from the Hawkins was able to describe the suspect and the vehicle in which the suspect fled.
While on scene it was also reported that a vehicle was broken into and 47 Xanax pills were taken and another $120 in cash had been stolen.
A description of the vehicle went out to all area law enforcement agencies and a short while late, Wayne County Sheriff's deputies located the car at 706 Corporate Drive, the report said. All three suspects were detained and, after a brief investigation, each of them were charged. Allen, Faucette and Medlin are each scheduled for a first appearance in Wayne County District Court later today.
