Driver's license office to close

The Goldsboro driver's license office, 701 W. Grantham St., will be temporarily closed for equipment installation on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
It is scheduled to re-open on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 8 a.m.
Other offices located in the region will provide service during the closure:

* Smithfield, 3783 U.S. 301 South, 919-934-3187
Equipment installations are being phased in at driver's license offices around the state.
The state Division of Motor Vehicles is putting in new cameras, printers, flatbed scanners and customer-facing monitors at each driver license examiner's desk to support new programming for next generation driver's license and ID card applications.
Customers are reminded to call the office at 919-731-7963 to confirm appointments and operating hours.
