Thanksgiving closings announced

Local, state and federal offices will operate on abbreviated work week scheduled next week because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
State offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26 and 27.
Federal offices, the post office and banks will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26.
Goldsboro city offices will all be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26 and 27.
All Goldsboro sanitation services for that Thursday and Friday will be serviced on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
Wayne County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 25 to 27 for students.
Wednesday is a teacher workday.
The central office will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Wayne Community College will be closed Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 25 to 27.
All Wayne County offices and the library will be closed Thursday and Friday with the exception of the Dudley landfill and convenience centers that will be closed on Thursday and will re-open Friday. The landfill and convenience centers are closed on Sundays and Wednesdays anyway.
Mount Olive town offices and the recyclables center will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Yard waste pick up will be on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
The household garbage pick-up route will be delayed by one day. Thursday's route will be picked up on Friday and Friday's route will be picked up on Saturday.
Town halls in Fremont, Pikeville and Walnut Creek will be closed Thursday and Friday.
In Walnut Creek, recyclables will be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
Garbage pick up in Pikeville will be moved from Thursday to Friday.
Eureka Town Hall will be closed on Thursday.
Carolina Southern Sanitation will be closed Thanksgiving Day. Customers who have their garbage picked up on Thursday will have it picked up on Friday. Customers who have their garbage picked up on Friday will have it picked up on Saturday.
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority will be closed Thursday.
The bus service will operate on a regular schedule on Friday.
