A Goldsboro man faces charges of larceny after confessing to a theft from a Seven Springs residence, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office press release.
Edward Joseph DeLisle Jr., 26, 372 Forest Knolls Drive, is charged with two counts of felony larceny and possession of stolen goods. DeLisle has been placed in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
According to the press release, the sheriff's office took reports of larceny from the home of Laura Lynn Benson Oct. 28 and again on Nov. 7. Among the items taken were a flat screen TV, a surround sound system and DVD player, a handgun and an assortment of tools.
"Some of the property has been recovered," Maj. Tom Effler said.
A subsequent investigation led detectives to develop DeLisle as a suspect. DeLisle confessed after questioning and deputies secured warrants for his arrest, the press release said.
