A victim of a Sunday night kidnapping escaped the incident after being cut with a knife multiple times, Goldsboro police say.
Michelle Renee Coley, 33, of Winslow Place, told police that her ex-boyfriend, Ramah Basean Lennox, 26, of 929 N. Center St., forced her into a car in a parking lot on Sunday night at 701 U.S. 70 East.
After making her get into the car, Lennox allegedly slashed Ms. Coley's face and wrist with a knife, according to the police report.
Ms. Coley told investigators that Lennox would not let her leave the vehicle, but that she was able to escape and flee the premises.
She went to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released.
Warrants have been taken out by police for the arrest of Lennox on one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflicting serious injury, as well as one count of kidnapping.
