A Southern Wayne High School bus was involved in an early morning collision today while at a bus stop boarding students.
Dr. David Lewis, assistant superintendent for accountability/information technology services, said the accident with Bus 386 happened just before 7:20 a.m. on Massey Road near O'Berry Road in the Dudley area.
"There were 30 students on board the bus at the time," he said. "The bus was rear-ended by a car. (The bus) was stopped and had its stop arm out."
Lewis said three students were reportedly knocked out of their seats and their parents were advised of the situation.
"None were taken to the hospital that I'm aware of," he said.
Lewis did not have further details, except that the driver of the other vehicle involved was not a student.
