Traffic stop results in drug charges

PIKEVILLE -- Three people were arrested on felony drug charges as the result of traffic stops by Pikeville police.
Officers out on patrol made two separate traffic stops investigating suspicious activity on Tuesday, Pikeville police said.
As a result of the stops, Pikeville and Fremont police officers made the following charges:
* Jason Michael Hyland, 34, 1011 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule IV (felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hyland was placed under a $1,000 secured bond.
* Devonte Lamar White, 22, 1889 Old Mount Olive Highway, Mount Olive, possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule VI (felony), possession of drug paraphernalia and conspire to sell Schedule IV (felony). White was placed under a $2,000 secured bond.
* Dequinta Laquell Horne, 23, 272 Ivey Lane, Pikeville, possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule IV (felony), maintain vehicle (felony) and conspire to sell Schedule VI (felony). Horne was placed under a $2,500 secured bond.
Officers were assisted by members of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office ACE and K9 teams.
