An 18-year-old Goldsboro man escaped arrest Monday after struggling with a police officer and avoiding being Tasered.
The incident took place in front of the Allstate insurance agency at 112 E. Ash St. at 3:50 p.m.
Terrence Lavon Forbes, 18, of 302 Olivia Lane, allegedly pulled away from Goldsboro police officer Matthew Habermas as Habermas attempted to arrest Forbes on outstanding warrants, according to a police report.
Forbes then feinted a punch at the officer and dodged a Taser strike before fleeing on foot, the report said. Officers were unable to locate Forbes after the incident.
Additional warrants have been secured for Forbes' arrest on charges of assault on a government official and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer.
