Bring the kids and the checkbook tonight when heading to Princeton for the Crime Stoppers Gospel Sing and Comedy Night fundraiser.
Doors open at The Bridge, 188 Whitley Church Road, at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 7.
Wayne County Crime Stoppers, which pays up to $1,000 in cash rewards to citizens who call in anonymous tips that help law enforcement close unsolved cases, depends solely on donations to keep its operation going.
Tonight, Wayne County Sheriff's Office Chaplain Freddie Pierce and his "dummy" friends Deacon Earl and Deacon Earl's Wife will entertain those in attendance. Also slated to perform are Legacy, a group of six southern gospel singers native to Wayne County. Solo artist Casey Sutton will also be featured and Rev. Jim Harry of St. Paul United Methodist Church will emcee.
A special dedication will honor the late Judge Tim Finan, a longtime supporter of Wayne County Crime Stoppers and several other civic organizations.
For more information, or to donate, contact Crime Stoppers director Rick Sutton at 919-734-8177.
