Labor Day closings are announced

Local, state and federal offices, banks and Postal Service offices will be closed Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Wayne County offices, the courthouse, landfill and convenience centers are all closed Monday and will reopen on their regular schedule Tuesday.
The Senior Center on East Ash Street was closed Saturday and will be closed Monday as well.
Goldsboro city offices will be closed. Sanitation services for Labor Day will be serviced on Wednesday, with city hall reopening for regular operations on Tuesday.
Wayne County Public Schools and Wayne Community College will be closed on Labor Day, also.
Mount Olive town offices are closed on Monday.
Household garbage pickup will be not be affected. Yard waste will be delayed by one day -- Monday's route will be on Tuesday and Tuesday's route will be on Wednesday.
The Recycling Center in Mount Olive will be closed on Monday and will re-open on Wednesday at 8 a.m.
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday operating from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Fremont town hall and associated offices will be closed, and trash pickup will be moved to Tuesday.
Pikeville, Eureka and Walnut Creek town offices will be closed, and no services will be affected.
Carolina Southern Sanitation's services will not be affected by the holiday.
