Entries are still being sought for the Goldsboro Christmas Parade, which is just four weeks away.
The event, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Goldsboro, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 4 p.m. in downtown Goldsboro.
Because the Streetscape project is still under way in that area, the parade route has been changed slightly, Chamber Marketing Director Lara Landers said.
It will originate and end at Cornerstone Commons, travel down Center Street past city hall and turn around at the median area by the circle at Ash Street and continue down Mulberry to John Street.
This year's theme is "A White Christmas."
No Santas need apply, as that role has already been filled.
But others are invited to submit applications for entries as soon as possible. Deadline is Nov. 15.
Entrants still sought include floats, vehicles and performing groups including school bands, ROTCs, twirling groups, dancers, etc., Ms. Landers said.
"You can pick up applications at the Chamber or at city hall but the biggest convenience is it's on our website," she said. "You can just download it. You can see all the guidelines and the parade route."
Applications can be submitted via e-mail, at [email protected].
Entries include floats, vehicles, performing groups including school bands, ROTC, twirling groups, dancers, etc.
