Arrest made in shooting

A day after announcing to the public the identity of an attempted murder suspect, Goldsboro police have their man.
Tacarous Monquez Peterson, 21, is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $400,000 secured bond.
Peterson was found at 706 Rudolph St. and taken into custody without incident by the GPD housing unit., Maj. Al King said.
"We also recovered a weapon," King added.
Peterson allegedly shot two people, one of them a pregnant woman, in the driveway of her Porter Street home after midnight on Oct. 11.
Tyshea Koonce, 19, is recovering, police said.
The second victim, Fiante Semaj Amerson, 24, remains in critical condition.
For his safety, police continue to withhold the location of the hospital at which Amerson is being treated.
No motive for the shooting has been released.
