PRINCETON -- A Princeton man is dead and a woman is charged with his murder today following a domestic dispute early Sunday morning.
"We are still in the investigative phase, but it does appear that it started from a domestic situation," Princeton police Chief Tyrone Sutton said today.
Police responded to an unresponsive person call in the Dellwood Apartments at 510 S. Pearl St. at 1:40 a.m., according to a press release.
Julius Crenshaw, 25, of 410 W. Railroad St., was found lying in the parking lot with a knife wound to his neck area.
Emergency services and fire department personnel worked to treat Crenshaw, but he succumbed to his wounds.
Crystal Turner, 27, of 510 S. Pearl St., is charged with second-degree murder and is being held in the Johnston County Jail without bond.
She is scheduled for a first appearance later today, Sutton said.
"We did recover the weapon, some kind of steak knife," he said.
