FREMONT -- The Gov. Charles B. Aycock Birthplace will celebrate North Carolina's 19th century farm heritage during "Saturday on the Farm" 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14.
The program will feature vintage farm equipment displayed by the Eastern Carolina Vintage Farm Equipment Club.
A corn barn and stables recall the days when men worked the land. Sheep and fowl, a field crop and a three-season kitchen garden bring the farm to life.
"Saturday on the Farm" will feature members of the Beekeepers of the Neuse organization, who will share information about beekeeping, have a beehive on display, and sell honey and products made from honey and beeswax.
