Wayne Community College to offer continuing education courses

Wayne Community College Continuing Education will offer courses this spring.
For just $35, anyone can learn Jewelry Creation, Spring Flower Arranging, Self Defense, or Cardio-Kick Boxing. For more information on these "Leisure/Recreational" courses, contact Lisa Newkirk at (919) 739-6931 or [email protected] or go online to www.waynecc.edu.
Upcoming "Occupational Extension" courses include Administrative Assistant Certification, A+ Certification Preparation/Computer Repair, Adobe Photoshop CS6 (two classes: one hybrid and one online), Digital Photography/Photo Correction, InDesign CS6 (online), Photoshop CS6 (online), Preparing and Delivering Effective Presentations Part I and Part II, American Sign Language I, Basic Plumbing I, i-Pad I, Notary Public Education, Real Estate Pre-Licensing, Spanish for Farmers, Workplace Spanish I, and Today's Teller.
A number of slow-paced computer classes are also available, including Introduction to Microsoft Office 2010, Introduction to Microsoft Office 2013 and Introduction to Windows 8.
Cost for the Occupational Extension classes range from $70 to $180, depending on the length of the course. Students may register for these classes through Jan. 24 at the Continuing Education Division's customer service desk in the Walnut Building. Contact 919-739-6933 or [email protected].
